I think it’s very important as a creator to have someone you can go to who will give you unfiltered feedback on your work. Fact is, your buddies, your girlfriend, your mom, these people aren’t usually great resources when it comes to getting constructive criticism. The reason is they aren’t objective. They have a personal stake in your happiness, and thus, would never tell you what you’ve created is trash. (Even if it is.)
Tony Tuttle, editor-in-chief at Blam! Comics, ain’t your mother. He obviously doesn’t have that problem.
