Felix approaches a small brick office building with a LARGE
MURAL depicting the warrior princess heroine from “Fire of the
Pendragon.”
Felix walks through doors reading, “BLAM! COMICS.”
INT. BLAM! COMICS – RECEPTION
Felix enters the tiny office. Comic book posters cover the
walls, several of “Fire of the Pendragon.”
GWEN DIGBY, 25, cute, hair up, wearing glasses and a manga
t-shirt, sits at the reception desk. Her eyes glued to pages
of a graphic novel, she’s startled by Felix’s entrance.
GWEN
Oh! Hi, Felix! How are you?
FELIX
Tony in his office?
GWEN
Uh- yeah. He’s expecting you.
Felix walks away from the desk.
GWEN
Felix. I read your graphic novel.
Felix stops.
FELIX
Already?
(vulnerable)
What’d you think?
GWEN
Oh my God, Felix! It was
so…so…I’m so sorry she left
you!
FELIX
You mean the character? You’re
talking about my graphic novel,
right?
GWEN
Right, sorry. The character. I
don’t know how she could have left
the character. What a total bitch!
FELIX
She’s not a bit- That character, is
not a bitch.
TONY (OS)
Felix!
Standing at the door to his office is Blam! Comics president
TONY TUTTLE, a fat, balding, middle-age man.
TONY
Come on in.
