Sacrilegious Comic Book Pitches

And, here’s a closer look at those comic book pitches starring Jesus that went straight into the Blam! comics trash can.

BadComics_VampireJesus

Christ: Undead: Christians worldwide always knew He would return.  They just never imagined he’d return…as a Vampire!

BadComics_MummyJesus

He Hath Risen: An archeological dig uncovers the mummified remains of what appears to be Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  And the Lord is not happy.

BadComics_FrankenJesus

The Lord’s Monster: A brilliant, but demented scientist tries to give life to the perfect man.  And to do so, he’ll use any body parts he can get his hands on…even those of the son of God!

Track of the Year: First Days of Spring by Noah and the Whale

It’s been a while since I’ve added to Felix’s Playlist. Partly it’s that I’ve been busy, and partly that I’ve still kind of been obsessed with the latest Noah and the Whale album. The title track, “The First Days of Spring” can be played pretty much on loop.

Give it a listen and let me know what you think. And if you dig it, there’s a link to the left that’ll let you pick up the MP3 or CD.

Poll #2: Which Comic Should Tony Greenlight?

Well, it looks like Over readers agree with Tony’s good judgement.

Capes and Robbers was the consensus winner as the comic book pitch Tony should add to the Blam! comics stable of fine funnybooks.

I was beginning to worry for a minute- There are a lot more of you into demon porn and tentacle rape than makes me comfortable.  But hell, you’re my readers, and I love ya regardless.
