I like this page because it’s comic creators talking to each other.
A clarification point for readers…I wonder if it’s somewhat confusing why Felix needs Skate on “Pendragon“, if Felix is an artist as well. The fact is, MOST top-selling comic books are collaborative efforts. There are writers, pencilers, inkers, colorists, editors, cover artists…the credits page on mainstream comics have a lot of names.
Felix, like most professional comic book writers, has been drawing and sketching his whole life. At a certain point, he realized that his writing and storytelling ability had exceeded his artistic expertise. So when he pitched “Pendragon” to Tony at Blam! comics, he pitched it with the best artist he could find (and afford) attached…a talented young artist named Malcolm Skaton. And the rest is history.
Skate seems like a really good friend.
