Over – A romantic comedy online graphic novel by Tyler James

Thank you so much for taking the Over Readers Spring Survey.  The response was far greater than expected.  You guys are the best.

Here are a few interesting tidbits you guys might be interested in knowing…

• Over readers are split right down the middle in terms of gender. While most of the people I talk to on a regular basis about the comic are female, and there’s a slight female skew in terms of who comments, it’s good to know this “bro-mantic” comedy is being read by a few dudes out there.

• Most of you guys visit the site each day a new page is posted. I see I’ve trained you well. Bwahahahahaha!  (That’s evil, maniacal laughter, by the way.)  My site traffic analysis more or less confirms this, but it’s good to hear you guys associate Over with a M-W-F visit.

• You guys read A LOT of webcomics. There’s about 15% of you who report that Over is the only webcomic you read.  (God bless you Mom!)  But 45% of you read more than 10 webcomics regularly.  Considering there are literally tens of thousands of webcomics out there in the world, I sincerely thank you guys for making mine one of your regular reads.

• There is a market for the Over graphic novel. This is good, because I was planning on printing this thing anway, even if that meant me sitting on a stack of books from now until the end of time.  A little more than 80% of you said you’d consider purchasing the book in print form.

• I’ve got to do a better job of sharing the rest of the things I’m doing with you guys. I’m a busy guy, and I keep a number of comic projects and plates spinning.  But more than half of you have never checked out anything else I’m doing.  : (  Ah, I’m not too worried about it.  I’m glad I have you as readers for Over.  But it’d probably behoove me to use the Over blog just a bit more to share some of the other cool stuff I have going on.

• I’m pumped you guys are digging EPIC. I know I only shared the briefest of glimpses into my new book.  But the response was extremely positive, with almost 90% of you wanting to know more.  After spending the past year putting Felix through the ringer and dealing with some heavy and sometimes depressing crapola, EPIC is pure tongue in cheek superteen fun.  Stay tuned to the Over blog, as you guys will get a special sneak preview of EPIC soon.
