You’ve got it right, Jules. Felix is reaping what he’s sowed. He actually had several months of leeway, having been way ahead in the writing department compared to where the art was, which explains why Tony didn’t take action sooner than he did.

This is wake up call week for Felix. Turns out, actions DO have consequences.

You know, it’s easy for the average reader to look at this and go “aw, poor ol Felix” but I sympathize with the editor. Felix spent way too much time bellyaching over his personal woes than actually working to his obligations and now he reaps what he sows. Editor’s still got a business to run. In the real world, he’d have gotten dropped much sooner than 7months later.
